Oh dear, I'm so torn!

Here's a point for the dater haters: my boyfriend thinks dates have the texture of cockroaches. Now mine have the texture of cockroaches with worms!

Well, my Gran bought me some Limra dates as a present. They are actually quite nice, different to other dates I have tried.

Yeah pretty much - need to eat low gi and whole foods as much as possible, and limit sugar, caffiene and unprocessed crap, and eat regularly to avoid reactive hypoglycemia, which I get a lot. I found out that dates have a gi of 103 (off the scale )

I'm not keen. I can eat them now without finding them TOO unpleasant, and if I was having a sugar craving and that was the only thing available it might be bearable, but otherwise, no thanks! oooh, unless they're in a sticky toffee pudding!

I like good dates. Some dates are really dry and chewy. Medjool dates and these other dates I picked up at the Middle Eastern store were really good.
