Calling all people who live in Woking (Surrey) Area

A local lady called Liz is attempting to create a veggie/vegan group in Woking. There is a well established one in Guildford but one in Woking will be well recieved! If anyone lives in the area and is interested. Please feel free to PM or post. Or alternatively if you know anyone who lives in the area who isn't a member of this forum please pass the message on!

we're kinda trying to get it off the ground at the moment. its in the really early stages. but i guess at some point i will start a mailing list...we have few technical skills, so...eeek!

I live near Farnham. So not exactly "in" the Woking Area, but not too far from it.

Lovely jubbly. There is a well established society in Guildford. But this lady (Liz) thought one in woking would be good, also for all those shy people, like me, a well established group where everyone knows each other seemed a bit daunting for me!!

We have some veggie and vegan meet ups happening in our area, certainly not a million miles from Woking.

We have lazy Sunday afternoon pub meets once a month, some in Kingston and some in Hampton so far, and are having an extra meet at a veggie cafe in Richmond, followed by some time in the big park there. We are mostly from the area around Hampton - Kingston, Surbiton, Feltham, Isleworth, Molesey, Teddington, Twickenham, Sunbury and Shepperton, north Surrey, south Middlesex area.

We are also looking for help to get a group of us to leaflet against the racing at Kempton Park.

We are not a big well-established group like Guildford, although we have a few of us who are fairly regular and know one another, only been going a few months and really want to welcome new people and grow to bigger things.

We would probably be happy to organise something jointly with Woking group too.

Then to the Bridge Barn to take advantage of the glorious weather.

Well there aren't THAT many pubs in Woking with such "lovely" decor.

Damn, I bet you've been at Schism at the same time as I have. There's a scary thought and a shameful admission.

Hmmm. I haven't been to Schism longtime (glorious comeback is yet to happen), but I'm "WhenDanSaysJump" on the forum, I probably still have a billion posts despite not really going on there anymore. Plus none of the pics on there really resemble me much anymore.

However depending on how long you've been going, you may have seen me in the first hour/Barney's second set of the night busting ludicrous hXc moves.

Bridge barn is the best pub in Woking only place people go to have a drink rather then get drunk,have a kebab then have a fight!
Is Schism still going then? thats pretty cool, never actually made it there but knew loads of people that did, always seemed to end up at that really crappy place opposite 'spoons, cant remember the name of it now but i think it was really cheap which was why we would go there,will take a look at the schism website, see if i recognise anybody.

ANNABANANA- did you used to live in woking then? the crappy place opposite spoons is either rat and parrot or planets...planets = chav paradise! schism is ok...its a bit clicky tho, i prefer havok in g'ford.
