^ No offence meant, just that some people have very strange ideas about what vegan means and usually people put the type of faux meat they're using.

All of that food looks so good!
I think I recognise those chicken strips, Meihee. Are they the "It's All Good" ones?
Kitteh, your food always looks so professional!
Yep, they make the PC ones too. Except they sell for a couple of dollars less with the PC labelling on them! I used those same chicken strips in a salad tonight.
they were surprisingly good. I usually don't like things like that but I had them on the pizza and they were really delish!!
I haven't tried them on a pizza but that's a great idea!
you are in Van, we should do dinner or something some night!!
my eyes fell out while I was looking at this stuff, seriously... I love you all SO MUCH.
Kitteh and Squig... I dont have a spiral cutter or a food processor! Suppose I could go get them... I'm way terrible at cooking/ preparing food. Maybe a processor would help!
“I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.” ~ Alcott
Well you don't need a food processor but they make everything so much easier! Otherwise you'll spend a lot of time cutting everything up v.small and mixing well for sauces. You don't need a spiral maker as I used a veggie peeler the second night and it made nice ribbons!
This is the zucchini pasta made with the veggie peeler and some of the pesto blended with a tomato & water
And last night I had an avocado topped with tomato, cucumber & lemon juice

my attempt at pho
I have a couple more but can't upload til later...
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
how do you make your pho broth?
boiled leaves of 1 leek, 1 whole onion, crushed chunk o' ginger, handful anise in dilluted vegetable stock for an hour plus until it had boiled down and the onion/giner were soft. then removed ginger and leek leaves, broke up the onion, and added soy sauce, sugar, and chinese 5 spice.
funny you should ask... I took pics of the process.
the "meat" was the rest of the leek sauteed in pan with seitan strips, mushrooms, soy sauce and pepper. (also broiled some plain tofu and added it separately)
noodles:
topped with "meat":
pour on broth:
then topped it with fresh bean sprouts, fresh cilantro, a little chili sauce and lots of lime juice. I don't know how authentic it was, but it tasted darn good.

WHoa, those baked fries look AMAZING.
I LOVE veggie pho. Here in Vancouver (where I live for now) there are pho places EVERYWHERE and many of them have veggie versions. There is even a place that is strictly veggie. It's so good and cheap. I'm too lazy to get all of the stuff to make it myself...
those greens look glossy - did you massage them with oil? makes them soft and chewy!
the pho was kind of a pain, but worth it. If I could get it cheap somewhere I definitely would!
mmm white bean & leek cassoulet. haven't tried that yet. looks yummy.
french bakes are at the beginning of vcon. found it when looking up roasting times and temps for veggies.

For dessert, pineapple, banana, and grapefruit smoothie with coconut shreds.

How do I add an image?
why does it ask me for a URL for a pic??
^ You need to upload your picture to a website like www.imageshack.us , the URL is the web address of your picture, however the imageshack website should give you the code to copy and paste to show your images.
If it's food that looks like sick then don't bother, there's already enough of them.

How do i actually attach a picture so that it shows in the post?
i gave it the URL but it didn't show it...
do you need to be a special member to post a picture ?
Oh man, I haven't been on here in a good while because of school. Lots of great stuff on here :
I managed to take pictures of a few things I've eaten recently:
Quinoa, veggies, and a purple potato with veganaise and vegan cheese:
A delicious treat:
Some veggie rolls from Mr. Chopsticks:
Almond brownies and cherry brownies! Freakin delish:
When you uploaded to imageshack it should have given you a selection of different codes you can use, one of them called 'code for forums', if you copy and paste that one it should show up.
Otherwise what you need to do is click this button and then put the web address of the image you want to show in the box that appears. Only problem is that the links you've posted are not direct links to the images but links to imageshack web pages that have the images on them.
Rather than http://img5.imageshack.us/my.php?ima...hquicheye1.jpg you need http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/921/a...hquicheye1.jpg
Your food looks fantastic by the way
"I don't want to live on this planet any more" - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth
OMG Vercimus! Wanna share the rest of that tray of brownies!!
No you don't need to be a special member to post a picture, when posting a reply you need to click on the little yellow box with the 'mountains' on (3 to the right of the hyperlink clicky) and input the URL/or the direct link URL in there and voila, you will get pictures in your post!

Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
Or type [ img ] before the picture's url and [ /img ] after (without the spaces)
