Default Breakfast cereals in the UK

?I've noticed lots of them contain milk esp. the fancy ones with dried fruit. not too keen on "natural" cereal like porridge oats, so what do you guys buy?
If i take unsweetened soy drink with lots of vitamins with my cereals, do you think I can just get the plain 'free from' type? (says it contains:maize, sugar, salt. no vitamins or minerals mentioned)

I'm not in the UK but as far as I know we have alot of the same stuff. The things to look out for for cereal are milk derivatives, vitamin D3 and honey.
Cereals that I buy are Tesco brand Malt Wheats, Weetabix, Weetabix Bran Flakes, Kelloggs Just Right, Kelloggs Fruit & Fibre, Kelloggs Rice Krispies, Frosties. I think that Nestlé Cheerios and Shredded Wheat are vegan too.
    Houmous atá ann!

There are quite a few cereals that are OK for Vegans -Kelloggs list on their site which are vegan, as do Nestle & Weetabix. Supermarkets own brands are often Vegan as well (This is the Sainsurys vegan list, there are also lists for other places in the products list thread & here).
Personally I like Shreddies (chocolate or regular or supermarket own brand) or Whole Earth maple flakes with berries, soya milk & an Alpro dark chocolate pudding on top.
Hope this is of some help

Edit: Just remembered - We also have a thread on cereals as well!

I think they are Vegan, but are not on the list for some reason. Tesco do have a "Free From" version which are on the Vegan list, but are a bit expensive at £2.50.
Doves farm also do a version which appear Vegan, but are even more expensive

I think Cheerios are vegan, and the honey nut kind are fortified with vitamins and iron!

Regular Cheerio's are Vegan, but not the Honey Nut (contains Honey) and Crunchers (contains milk) varieties.

My only concern is that some of the aforementioned cereals/brands are unethical. I know that Doves, Suma, Infinity Foods are to my knowledge, suitable for vegans and equally as crucial ethical. The 'jury is out' on Nature's Path e.g. maple syrup and hazelnut, mesa sunrise with flax, millet rice etc as they only state vegetarian. Can anyone else shine some light on whether NP meet the criteria?

It's expensive, but I love Food Doctor's Cacao and Tangerine Granola. I usually only buy it as a treat (due to the price) but it's nice enough to just eat out of the box as a dry snack as well as having it with milk alternatives.
