    Unhappy Sunflower seeds? Help please.

I have half of a kilo of sunflower seeds left. I don't like it in soups, smoothies, pates nor bars.
When I google dishes with sunflowers I get as a result bunch of breads (shaped as sunflower).
Maybe salad, but ... this sunflower isn't roasted and taste of seeds that way isn't so good.
As you can see I really don't have much options left. I think I'm going to give it to birds.

The first half was spend on some risotto with mushrooms. But I can't stand risottos anymore.
I also don't bake breads (I don't have patience) nor cookies.

I feel so hopeless, like I'll never find a way out with this sunflower. It's in my kitchen for about half a year.
I just ignore the sunflower bag every time I notice it on the shelf.

Did you ever have such problem?

I use them in this recipe:

    http://ohsheglows.com/2013/02/20/bli...ters-oil-free/

They go well in granolas and cereals. If you have access to a high speed blender or food processor, you can make sunflower butter out of it for a spread.

Or you could put them in a nice jar and give them to somone for a gift with some printed recipes to go with.

I have a big container of chia seeds I keep forgetting about.

I like to sprinkle them on top of things like shepherds pie and lasagne, I use a mix of seeds including sesame. You could also make a parmesan substitute http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/pcc...-seed-parmesan.

I forgot about the parmesan substitute. I love to use sunflower seeds for that!

There's a nice recipe for sunflower macaroni cheeze on the post punk kitchen - http://www.theppk.com/2012/02/sunflower-mac/I have actually only tried the recipe with pumpkin seeds, because those are the seeds *I* was trying to get rid of! But it was very nice, and I'm sure would be just as nice with sunflower seeds

Oh, nice thing to know I'm not the only one having problems with seeds.

    Thank you all for recipes.

Just dry fry them, only takes a couple of minutes.
