Tesco have a cracking deal on Alpro yoghourts at the mo, £1.98 for four or two for £3.00
similar in the St Albans shop- one for £3 or 2 for £2.49. They probably think nobody buys them, anyway.

That happened in Harrogate about a year ago, and someone i met last weekend noticed that in Leeds somewhere just recently.

I did my usual activist thing of handing a personal letter in for the attention of the store manager asking if we can get some Redwoods stuff back in but they said something about the chicken style pieces being discontinued from their supplier or something and i can't remember what they said about the fish finger-esques. BOOOOOooO!

Anyway, off topic i guess! hehe...

Asda have the Pure slices on special at £1 per pack. Not sure if that's everywhere or just the Chatham store. Downside is that's probably the end of them being stocked.

Guess where I'm off first thing in the morning? Actually, Letchworth is about an hour from me, so my local Sainsburys of course.

Asda curry sauce is now down to 5p for a 440 grammes jar. Surely the jar is worth more than 5p!

It's pretty much like chip shop curry, slightly fruity and sweet. We had it tonight with onions, peppers, mushrooms and a little mango chutney stirred in over chips. Damn fine.

Reminds me of the loss-leading bread and baked beans wars of the 90's. Not sure the curry sauce wars will have the same impact.

I do remember 10p loaves of bread and 5p for three litres of fizzy pop
was always shocking to see how cheap things were when we came over for a holiday as we used to pay over a pound irish for both.

Sainsbury's are doing some cheap deals on spuds in our local one at the moment and are doing original source for £1 now instead of buy one get one free, sadly they stock very little of the range.
co-op are doing buy one get one half price on some of their own brand laundry and dish washing detergents and the eco dishwasher tabs are currently 4p cheaper than the regular ones.
The buy one get one half price at holland and barret is still running too.

Pizza Express almost always have an offer on. There's a mailing list you can sign up for them.

    Recently they've been getting progressively worse; first 2 for 1 (i.e. 2 pizzas for £6-£8), then 2 for £10, now 4 for £20

Also those raspberry bars - ruffles or something 5 for 89p.

Staff said they will sometimes get soya products in.

I tend to buy the bases or make the bases but Asda do sell DIY pizzas as in you choose a base, and they put the toppings on without the cheese. They have a pizza bar by the deli counter.

Last time I checked the ingredients for the base was vegan but there are risks of cross contamination.

I know there is a big Asda at Small Heath on the 60 bus route but it is a massive store - dont know if a friend could take you Dreama? The pizzas freeze ok.

Yes I was going to suggest the Waitrose chargrilled vegetable antipasti pizza, although it's been hard to find in the usual branches around here recently. I did wonder if they'd stopped making it but I saw it in one branch the other day.
