    Re: Sainsbury's

That's odd about the yumyums as my friend who bought them has been vegan for 20 years. I will investigate further! (They are sort of gooey iced doughnut type things I think - never had one myself as...

I love them with a roast dinner, or just with some veg. Also good cold for lunch in an emergency.

    Re: Sainsbury's

My friend invited me round for tea and yum yums today but sadly I was too busy to go - said they came from Sainsburys so I presume they must be marked vegan! :D

Waitrose have some vegan mince pies too green woman (own brand mini ones with cut out pastry stars as lids, 2.99 for 12 but they aren't in stock at all branches).

I think Mr Kiplings Winter Warmers fruit pie selection appears to be vegan (and they are 2 for 2 at Sainsburys atm).

After just a quick glance at this list I notice no houmous is listed (despite many being labelled vegan) so I wonder what else has been left off?

    Re: Sainsburys

Also didn't they decide not to label certain things vegan because there was a slight cross contamination risk in the factory?

I usually shop in Sainsburys but have been in Waitrose and Tesco recently and noticed that only Sainsburys mark their pre-prepared salads as 'washed in spring water'. So what are the others washed...

    Re: Sainsburys

I agree, they should be labelled. But they came out around the time when all the vegan labelling was disappearing. A short time later we had the 'vegan labelling being phased out' kerfuffle!
